Age recommendation: 8 and up


"Twisting," as this art is commonly referred to, is a fun hobby that can also be a source of side income via party entertainment. We will cover the following topics in this course:

  • Types and sizes of balloons most commonly used in twisting

  • Basic equipment set up for twisting

  • Various balloon creations and twisting techniques (depending on class size and skill level)

  • Hand care when dealing with balloons for extended periods

  • How to maximize the amount of items you can twist at a party by purposefully selecting which items you plan to make.

  • How to market and sell your skill in order to start making money


Lead instructor Joe Eckes has several years of experience in providing party entertainment as a magician, juggler, and balloon twister. He brings with him a knowledge of the art, and insights into starting a small side business that has potential to grow into a steady source of money.


Allergy Warning: This course uses latex balloons. Not suitable for children with a latex allergy.


This class teaches the following skills: Manual dexterity, public speaking, negotiating and marketing skills, and time management.
