-
What ages are your classes designed for? Most of our classes are for ages 6 and up. Usually the recommended age is specified on each course's detail page so make sure you look for that.
-
I only have a couple children, can you do a class for one or two kids?Yes, absolutely. As a small family, you actually have the most versatility when it comes to taking our classes. Our traveling gym class program offers you a slot in a class of 10 (max 20) kids, while our courses work very well for single student to mid-size groups (5-10 kids).
-
We are a part of a homeschool co-op, can we utilize your traveling gym program for our group?Yes! Forged & Tempered LLC offers the traveling gym program several times a month at several locations around the Twin Cities area. However, if you've got a large group already assembled via co-op/collective we are happy to serve your group exclusively. Shoot us an email with your needs and we will work with you to provide a great gym class experience for your kids.
-
Can I attend/participate in class with my child? If you would like to participate in class we welcome the opportunity for you to enjoy some playtime with your kids.

What is with the Blacksmithing terminology? The symbolism of smithing has many parallels to learning and physical fitness. When learning a new skill or subject, we are like the raw materials from which a finely crafted object is made. Through the fires of hard work, discipline, and perseverance, we are changed by the experience physically, mentally, and spiritually. This is akin to the forging of steel; a shaping process has been completed. Tempering refers to the treatment of steel to make it resilient to the stresses of whatever work the tool is doing. The comparable effect for what our company is doing, is the creation of a robust and resilient character within the student. Because they have been taught, and shown, they can do something challenging the student can physiologically handle other challenges that life will throw at them. To us at Forged & Tempered, this is the purpose towards which we dedicate our work; the forming of young people with indomitable spirits, tenacious minds, and healthy bodies.

This sounds like something fun for a birthday party. Can you do a short class for something like that?Absolutely. Project based activities like our PVC makers lab are a great idea for parties. We would love the opportunity to help make your birthday plans a smash hit with your kids and their friends. As an example of something we could do for this type of event we could do a bow and arrow making project, followed by a spirited game of archery tag.
