About the Course
Class size recommendation: any size
Age recommendation: 4 and up
In this class we will learn to exercise using a piece of equipment that is free, and with you 100% of the time: your body! Bodyweight workouts are a simple, but effective, exercise program that can be done virtually any time and any place you happen to be. Students will learn the methodology of HIIT and Tabata style workouts, as well as learn classic body weight exercises like: pushups, squats, sit-ups, planks, jumping jacks…etc. Each class will consist of a warm-up, stretching, and a short workout. Other topics that will be covered during class: Basics of nutrition, post-workout care for one’s body, designing a workout plan, goal setting
Comfortable clothing (movement and sweating considerations) is essential for this class.
This class is almost 100% pure Physical Education but there will be elements of Physical/Creative play as well.
