Handy Kids Home Repair Lab

Class size recommendation: any size

Age recommendation: 6 and up

This course is perfect for the kid that loves tools, wonders how things work, and enjoys a little problem solving.  We will use basic tools and materials as we learn how to accomplish some simple DIY projects involving real items found in a house.  The three projects students will navigate are as follows:

~       Plumbing a sink and installing faucets

~       Wiring an outlet and light switch

~       Basic toilet repair

We will be using tools of measurement, simple hand tools, and actual hardware to accomplish these projects.  The sink project can be done to include plumbing running water from a garden hose (subject to location restrictions and weather conditions as using real water would be done outside), but can also be done "dry."
